Touch screens and large displays are also increasingly popular in the industrial machine and system control sector. BOPLA has responded by developing its own BoTouch enclosure series.

With the new BoTouch product range, BOPLA has introduced a series of enclosures which allows the largely standardised installation of commercially-available displays and resistive and capacitive touch screens.

The plastic enclosures in the BoTouch range were developed especially for capacitive multi touch screens with a solid glass surface. The enclosure front is made of 3 mm thick mineral glass which provides excellent mechanical stability, and at the same time it makes possible the visual attractiveness of modern touch screen applications. BOPLA offers standardised BoTouch plastic enclosures for 5", 7" and 10" multi touch displays. Application-specific variants can be provided on request. Depending on the project, the rear cover is manufactured from 1 mm thick galvanised sheet steel.

In order to mount the displays, which as a rule do not have suitable mounting points, BOPLA has developed a special grouting process. A flexible positioning efficiently compensates for dimensional and processing tolerances and for thermic expansion effects or mechanical loads. Different requirements can be satisfied by the selection of a suitable grouting compound. A sample, CAD data or a datasheet for the touch-display combination are necessary for the suitable design and manufacture of the retaining plate.
