How to select the right model of the filter press

How to select the right model of the filter press.

Many customers don't know how to select the right model when they want to buy the filter press. Now I will briefly introduce my personal method to you for your reference.

According to the chamber volume of the filter press we could select the right model. The chamber volume means how many solid the machine could hold. But selecting the model we need to confirm the following information for the customer:

1. The capacity of material that going to be filtered per hour (m3/L);

2 The solid content (%);

3 Particle size into the material, this is used to select the filter cloth;

4 The temperature & PH value of the material;

5 The power of the Customer's company;

6 It is better that we could know the exact material that going to be filtered, then we could consult the experienced colleagues to help the customer to selct the model.

Here is I will give you an example to show how to select the model:

For example, the capacity of material is 10 cubic meters per hour, the solid content is about 5%, the material temperature and pH are suitable, and the particle size is 10 microns. Here is my calculation process:

First, the material is the sludge which has large viscosity, so we generally recommend the customer to use the membrane filter press.

The dry solid that going to be filtered per hour is V = 10 m3/h* 5% = 500 L. Generally speaking, we will filter 1 batch sludge every 2 hours, so the volume for 1 batch is 500*2= 1000L, and the chamber volume of our membrane filter press XMGZ 70/870 is 1121L, which could meet the customer’s requirement. So we selct this model for our customer.

This is only a standard selection method, but if the solid content of the customer's material is particularly low(<2%), we need to selct the model according to the flow. Specific situation is specific treatment.

For the selection of machines, it is better to select the bigger one than the small one. Because if the customer's capacity is reduced, we can supply him a blind plate, but if the machine can't meet the his capacity then he has to buy another machine.
