Pi4 and the First Employment Agency for Robots
Humanoid factory hand workerbot3 from pi4_robotics scooped up second place in the Robotics Awards at Hannover Messe this year.
pi4_robotics GmbH, which manufactures machine vision systems, automatic inspection systems and robots, designed a cobot that can operate in varied settings, carrying out production operations, as well as inspections and machine loading and unloading.
It has long arms, a high load capacity and rotates at the waist. It can autonomously supply parts and correct errors, as well as work cooperatively with humans. It greets “colleagues” with a particular facial expression and asks for help when necessary.
Company director Matthias Krinke took advantage of this third-generation robot to launch Robozän GmbH iG, believed to be the world’s first “employment agency” for robots. Owners can make their robots available to different companies through the agency. Robozän will find the work and arrange transport, training and insurance.
