Electrolube Introduce New Range of Aromatic Free Conformal Coatings to the U.S. Market

The transparent AFA coating is ideal for LED applications, providing excellent clarity and UV resistance, and provides exceptional protection in humid and salt-mist environments, as well as ensuring highly efficient coating application with a fast touch dry time at room temperature. AFA is UL approved, achieving flame retardancy to UL94 V-0, and meets the requirements of many industry standards. The coating features a UV trace to aid inspection and is also ideally suited to applications where rework is required, particularly when used with Electrolube''s 100% Ozone Friendly cleaning solvent, Ultrasolve (ULS), which provides easy removal of acrylic coatings.

Electrolube will also present UVCL UV cure conformal coating, the next generation of VOC-free coating designed for high volume users in fields such as automotive and consumer electronics. UVCL cures within seconds upon exposure to UV light and within 48 hours in shadowed areas. With excellent storage stability and a long shelf life, the low viscosity coating allows the application of relatively thin films without the need for dilution and provides the highest level of flexibility, moisture and chemical resistance at minimal cost. The non-flammable coating fluoresces under UV light for ease of inspection and offers excellent electrical properties with a wide operating temperature range. UVCL is highly adaptable for different processes and provides excellent resistance to common ‘thermal shock'' cycling, moisture vapour, salt-spray, solvent and fluid exposure, and condensing environments. The coating also meets IPC-CC-830 requirements and is UL94 V-0 rated.
