Ambient air pollution monitoring
Environnement S.A is excited to announce that its 4th e-Series ambient air analyzer have been approved by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA). The approval of the Environnement S.A nitrogen oxides monitor AC32e and AC32e* as Federal Reference Method for NO2 was publicly announced on February 13th in the Federal Register. As detailed in the link below, the EPA’s formal designation number for the AC32e and AC32* is RFNA-0118-249. The EPA has also announced the designation of one new reference method for measuring concentrations of NO2 in ambient air. This designation is made under the provisions of 40 CFR part 53, as amended on October 26, 2015 (80 FR 65291–65468). The new reference method for NO2 is an automated method (analyzer) utilizing the measurement principle based on gas phase chemiluminescence of the AC32e analyzer.
The analyzers CO12e (for CO & CO2 measurements), O342e (for O3) and AF22e (for SO2) have all been approved by the US EPA in November 2015 as indicated in the Federal Register here https://www.epa.gov/sites/production/files/2018-01/documents/amtic_list_dec_2017_update_1-20-2018_0.pdf , also being QAL1 certified by the German TÜV. The AC32e has obtained the QAL1 certification by the TÜV in April 2017.
