Tightening automation for windows frames field
Tightening system to be integrated into a production line of wooden window frames. Automatic tightening of self-threading bushings with depth control: in fact the bushing must not protrude from the horizontal surface.
Such production line is manufactured for the biggest Norwegian producer of wooden doors and windows.
Solution:
Fiam has manufactured a customized solution with two self-feeding automatic systems with following features:
- Special feeding unit for bushes (for 28 mm bushings with minimum autonomy of 500 pieces);
- Special selector;
- 2 double-movement fastening slides equipped with 2 air nutrunner motors MCG25 with automatic and immediate air shut-off suitable to arrange tightening:
In depth and in horizontal positions
up to a max. torque of about 12 Nm
on an area with an encumbrance/ shoulder below the tightening point
Synchronously or asynchronously depending on the production needs
The tightened bushing never protrudes, even in case of irregular surfaces, thanks to 2 mechanical stop devices and related sensors that rest each time on the surface to be tightened.
Advantages:
High production rate: achieved cycle time is 20 tightening /minute. Continuity of cycles is assured by automatic feeding of the bushings without any jamming
Compact solution easily integrated pneumatically and electrically into designed production system
