The New Building is Growing and Spreading Out

New ideas need room to develop. So Flottweg is responding to the continued growth in new staff by building a new office building on the company's campus in Vilsbiburg. The new building will be the home of the Flottweg Academy, Automation Technology, and Facilities Management. The overall volume of the project comes to 3.4 million Euros. The official move-in date is planned for September 2017.

Ten years ago, just 320 employees worked at the Vilsbiburg site. By 2010, that number was already 456. Now there are 600 people working to make Flottweg a well-known provider of custom solutions in mechanical separation technology. To provide all these new employees with space, 5-story Building 1.2 was opened in 2014. But even its capacity has already been reached. So construction on the new office building at the corner of Industriestrasse and Benzstrasse is moving quickly forward.

The new building will be built with a concrete framework and a facade with glass/aluminum window elements. The west side of the rectangular structure will house the main stairwell. It will have a pent roof. The office units will be built in brick. From a technical standpoint, the building will meet current energy standards: LED lighting, ventilation with heat recovery, triple glazing, and a high level of thermal insulation.

"With this building, we're setting another milestone in the step-by-step modernization of our corporate headquarters," said Fritz Colesan during the groundbreaking ceremony in September 2015.
