The Original turns 20 – 20 years HAMMEL Recyclingtechnik GmbH

Something big usually starts as something small. The same is true for HAMMEL Recyclingtechnik GmbH. With only 3 employees, a small production hall, but a lot of commitment, the company was established at the site in Bad Salzungen, Germany on February 15th, 1996. Now, company HAMMEL can proudly look back on 20 years.

For the past 20 years company HAMMEL has been present in the areas of shredding and recycling technology and has developed into an internationally renowned company. This success is based on the tireless efforts of all employees, when it comes to demanding recycling solutions. Because HAMMEL Recyclingtechnik GmbH creates innovative solutions and machineries tailored to individual customer requirements. Here, the extensive know-how from all technical disciplines and years of experience are applied.

The "Original" HAMMEL-shredders are being planned and produced since the start in Bad Salzungen, Germany. Based on the first prototypes of that time a powerful product range has been developed in the last 20 years, which is characterized by high performance and quality. The company has met the demanding requirements for shredding technology in the fields of wood, waste and metal with numerous innovations in recent years.

With this said, in 2012 the world's largest mobile shredder, the HAMMEL-primary shredder VB 1500 DK, was engineered and introduced to the market. The primary shredder is suitable for shredding used car bodies, mega tires and bulky materials. Just one year later the HAMMEL VB 750 Limited Edition was launched. This pre-shredder is equipped with an outstanding 480 hp, powered by CAT, C13 engine and the increased power results in higher throughput. Among the new products introduced in recent years is also the HAMMEL-primary shredder VB 450 DK - Duo.

New equipment innovations also exist in the areas of secondary shredding and the HAMMEL-screening and sorting technology. The requirements of our customers have continued to evolve to homogenously screen out or separate the input material in only one single step. Innovations in recent years were f.e. the stationary metal separator SMA and its mobile version the MMA 1400 E.
