Hegewald & Peschke equips Slovak branch of Benteler with length measuring technology

60. light weight length measuring device delivered

Measuring devices for the measurement of lengths of light components are mainly used in quality assurance and / or production-accompanying use. The greatest and most demanding challenge in the manufacture of length measuring devices is to achieve the required accuracy, while maintaining a high durability. In the production environment, test and measuring machines are often exposed to environmental influences, such as dust, oil and the like.

The Hegewald & Peschke MPT GmbH has developed measuring devices that are just as robust and have the highest measuring accuracy. Thanks to their precise and easy-going linear guide, they are also easy to handle and, compared to self-constructions, a cost-effective alternative.

Thanks to a modular construction system and various possibilities to attach or touch workpieces, Hegewald & Peschke can react very flexibly to specific customer requirements.

Recently, the sixtieth lightweight 1D measuring device built by Hegewald & Peschke was delivered. The recipient is the Slovakian branch of Benteler, which sells steel pipes and measures steel pipe cuttings locally. The technical concept of today's "light" measuring device is originally based on a request from Techno-Chemie GmbH - subsidiary of Conti-Tech AG, using simple, production-compatible measuring devices for rubber hoses (for VW vehicles). In 1998 the first five ordered devices were delivered.
