EQ CL25 – High Power LED Spotlight (365nm) with higher Intensity

EQ CL25 – High Power LED Spotlight

Henkel’s LOCTITE® LED systems are extremely efficient and cost-effective. The life expectancy of an LED is between 10,000 and 20,000 production hours. A traditional mercury vapor bulb by comparison lasts for around 1,000 hours, including warm-up and cool-down time. Typically, the LED systems are built into solid-state housings making them extremely durable and portable.

Long-life, durability and easy maintenance translates into immediate and on-going cost savings, especially as LED systems consume less energy. They also take up less space than traditional UV cure equipment and are easy to automate. Safety is another significant benefit as LED light systems require no costly ventilation systems to protect against ozone and have no hot surfaces.

With the improved EQ CL25 we can now offer even higher intensity. All LED heads are operating with a wavelength of 365nm, which does not include infrared radiation. This eliminates the risk of heat damage to the work piece. The short LED head has a new intensity of max. 20 W/cm2 and the long head an intensity of max. 12 W/cm2. One Controller can operate 4 LED heads, whether the short or the long one or combinations of the two, depending on the customer needs. The unit is designed for manual work stations and also for integration into automated production lines. A very useful optional accessory part is the UV power meter to calibrate the right intensity for each LED head to suit perfectly the curing application. If the intensity level is below an adjusted value an error message is available at the output interface and on the display of the controller.

Each LED head can be started and set independently by the controller. The heads can also be started all together or in combination. Up to 7 different operation programs can be stored for each channel (LED head), including one program for the constant intensity irradiation and 7 programs composed of up to 10 steps each. The programming can be done only via a PC (RS232 whilst simple settings can be done on the controller front panel Cooling of the LED’s mean that the UV intensity is kept constant, even if the ambient or LED temperature changes.

After the official lifetime of the LED of 20.000 hours (with constant LED temperature of max. 60°C) an intensity of approximately 70% of the starting intensity remains.
