New Process for centrate monitoring - higher process reliability and cost reductions for decanter processes

Newly developed process for centrate monitoring – offers highest process reliability and cost reduction for decanter processes

NEW PROCESS

To check the centrate quality for a consistently high degree of separation in a decanter,

HILLER GmbH offers a new process for monitoring the centrate. This means that customers are offered an optimum of procedural reliability.

BENEFITS

- Consistently high separating efficiency

- Automatic monitoring

- Can be used in virtually all applications

- Problem-free integration into current HILLER decanters

- Quick and simple installation

- Warning of poor centrate quality

PROCESS DESCRIPTION

The centrate is monitored using an object sensor. The object sensor uses software to determine the discolouration of the centrate. This level of discolouration is passed to the system PLC via Profinet/Ethernet.

With poor centrate quality, the system PLC issues a warning message or shuts down the feed. The differential speed, polymer volume or feed volume is changed via a specially

developed PLC module depending on the discolouration. This control optimises the polymer consumption and avoids unnecessary overdoses.

The system is simple and can be integrated into all current HILLER decanter systems with minimal effort. This means that the HILLER centrate monitoring system ensures process reliability as well as considerable cost reduction by the optimized polymer consumption.
