Relaunch of the plastic cable glands for Ex-areas

Be already equipped today for tomorrow's requirements

Components that are installed in explosion protected areas are subject to a stringent control. Norms and directives are continuously being developed further and adapted. For this reason, the HUMMEL AG is presenting the new, revised plastic cable screw connection HSK-K-Ex-Active. It has been certified in accordance with the latest norms and also fulfils all the requirements for an approval based on the pending amendment. For users this means: That today you already fulfil future requirements.

The current norm EN 60079-0:2012 places great value on the impact strength. This must be demonstrated after a four-week thermal ageing process. The HSK-K-Ex-Active fulfils these exacerbated directives without the installation of additional mechanical protective fixtures.

In combination with the well known and proven benefits of the HSK-K-Ex-Series this screw connection is ideal for use in areas where there is a danger of explosions. The chamber-seated formed seal and the standard O-ring for the housing ensure excellent leak-tightness. The required strain relief is guaranteed by the overlapping clamping segments. This well known clamping finger system from the Hummel AG has proved itself over many years in many applications with the highest requirements.
