The Ankara–Istanbul high-speed railway (Turkish: Ankara–İstanbul yüksek hızlı demiryolu), is a 533 km (331 mi) long high-speed railway currently running between Ankara and Pendik (a suburb of Istanbul).

The Ankara-Istanbul line is the country's first high-speed line. Phase 1, which runs more than 200 km from Ankara west to Eskisehir, was built by a Spanish company and opened in early 2009.

When the entire line opens, travel time between Ankara and Istanbul, the country's two largest cities, will shorten from seven hours to less than four.

The Ankara-Istanbul project was one of the biggest to be implemented by Turkey's Ministry of Transportation. The main aim was for shorter journey times along with a fast, secure and safe way to travel away from roads.
