Metalcasting Congress & CastExpo 2016, Minneapolis

The 16th - 19th April, the Metalcasting Congress & CastExpo was held in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This event is organized by the AFS (American Foundry Society ).

The Congress is an annual event, while the Exhibition occurs every 3 years. All the actors of the North American foundry industry were present.

Together with our exclusive distributor for the USA, Viking Technologies, we introduced the CellaCast fixed on a pourTECH machine. The CellaCast measures and records the temperature of each cast piece for any type of GS/GL casts. The system can reject any piece that does not match the temperature specifications.

A unique and patented algorithm allows detection and isolation of the pure metal from all the others oxides or slags. Thanks to this technology, Keller MSR is the only infrared pyrometer manufacturer that can guarantee a reliable and accurate measure on liquid metals.

Many new contacts with US and Canadian foundries were made leading to new installations of the CellaCast in the coming months.

The next Congress will be in Milwaukee in 2017 and the next CastExpo will be in Atlanta 2019.
