When pulverizing spices it is important to grind the starting material cool and gentle in order to guarantee the preservation of the ethereal oils. Conventional universal- or pin mills carry a lot of heat into the product. Spices with a high oil- or fat content (i.e. nutmeg) are therefore often pulverized by adding a cooling agent, i.e. CO2 . Due to this cooling process, air moisture afterwards condenses at the packaging and softens it. With the ORIGINAL PALLMANN Contra-Selector Mill, such spices can be pulverized totally without adding any cooling agents, directly packaged and delivered. A time- and cost intensive intermediate storing is no longer necessary. The operation method of the Contra-Selector Mill is very uncomplicated. The product is metered into the mill.
