UNIFY

The new indexable insert gear hob UNIFY reduces the costs per piece even further. It combines cost effectiveness and precision in gear cutting.

LMT Fette developed the new UNIFY hob to enable even more users to benefit from the productivity of carbide. It rounds off the LMT portfolio in the module range from 6 to 12.

The single-part body facilitates a compact design (diameters from 150 mm) and therefore also brings the advantages of 4-bladed indexable inserts to smaller machines: higher tool life quantities, shorter processing times and increased reliability considerably improve efficiency. Minimizing the number of interfaces on the shank has created a robust tool that works with high precision. In practical use, its users have been especially convinced by its smooth running and the uniform surface of the produced components. For example, a wheel quality of 9 was achieved on module 9 helical gears (18 CrNiMo 7-6 material).

Accordingly, UNIFY combines precision and productivity and has proved itself as a new partner for series production in the medium module range.
