Standardised and individually configurable NAAMS components

NAAMS Standard - What is behind it?

The NAAMS standard (North American Automotive Metric Standard) was established by the automotive manufacturers Chrysler, Ford and General Motors as well as Dayton Progress (a subsidiary of MISUMI). The NAAMS standard defines components which are used for body-in-white production. The goal of this initiative is to generate time and costs savings. Find out more at www.naamsstandards.org.

NAAMS and MISUMI - A standard combined with customer-specific solutions

Despite standardisation, body-in-white components often have to be modified in order to meet the requirements of the bodyshell precisely. Therefore, additional effort is required. MISUMI USA thought about a solution to this problem and has launched individually configurable NAAMS components. These products have now been introduced to the European market as well.

The aim of this standard is to realise time and cost savings. To meet these requirements in automotive welding and assembly lines and deliver customised solutions, MISUMI now offers configurable NAAMS components.
