Omnitrack Movement Solutions Spotlight – 9260 High Capacity Ball Transfer Unit

The biggest, heaviest & highest capacity ball unit in existance!

It’s time to take a look at one of the biggest, heaviest and highest capacity ball units in existence; the flange mounted 9260 Omnitrack Ball Transfer Unit.

With a Ø76,2mm [3”] chrome steel or AISI 440 stainless steel ball and our patented ‘double recirculation’ internal mechanism, this unit can support an incredible 4550 Kg [10,000 Lbs] each at any angle of orientation. As a member of the Omnitrack High Capacity range, it also has the lowest coefficient of friction of all ball transfers requiring a force which is just 0,5% of the conveyed load applied to the side of the heavy object to move it in optimum conditions.

The 9260 is easily installed ‘ball up’ or ‘ball down’ using the four Ø12,1mm countersunk holes in the flange – ideal for M12 bolts to fit through to hold it in place. This ball unit can also be disassembled on-site for inspection, cleaning or user-servicing as part of a maintenance schedule in dirtier or more arduous conditions – keeping downtime to an absolute minimum. Alternative material options and service kits then allow for on-site upgrades to tackle the most severe environments – corrosive, radioactive and high temperature conditions can all be protected against with the help of our technical team who can identify the specific setup your application demands.

This makes the Omnitrack 9260 the ideal candidate for moving the heaviest of objects with maximum precision; whether it be aligning bridges, positioning aircraft or supporting entire buildings in anti-seismic devices. Alternative fixing options are also available with the 9060, 9160 and 9360 variants, which all provide the same highest capacity and lowest friction possible of all Ball Transfers.
