Pfeiffer Vacuum acquired 100% of the shares of Advanced Test Concepts, Inc. (ATC)

• One stop shop for leak test and detection needs • Micro-Flow technology • Mass Extraction technology

ComVac 2017. On February 14, 2017, Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology AG acquired 100% of the shares of Advanced Test Concepts, Inc. (ATC), which is based in Indianapolis, USA. Pfeiffer Vacuum is one of the world´s leading providers of vacuum and testing solutions with over 50 years of experience in leak detection. In 1966 Pfeiffer Vacuum invented the first commercial helium leak detector. Only two years later Pfeiffer Vacuum introduced the counter flow principle which until today still is the basis for nearly all modern tracer gas leak detectors. Now this strong team is completed with the experts and products from Advanced Test Concepts, Inc. (ATC).

The patented Micro-Flow technology does not require a specific tracer gas. Thereby it brings several benefits in regards to sensitivity, speed of test, accuracy and repeatability in comparison to other leak testing technologies which are using air. This makes the technology the right solution for several applications in the industrial and automotive industry. Furthermore ATCs Mass Extraction technology is the matching solution to leak test sealed packages or parts as for example water resistant electronics, medical devices or pharmaceutical packages.
