LVIT Inductive Linear Sensor Delivers Hydraulic and Pneumatic Cylinder Position Feedback
The MR Series linear position sensors are designed for use in measuring the ram position of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders.
The components are a drop-in form, fit, and function replacement for magnetostrictive sensors with a more robust construction and a lower cost of ownership. They require a simple conductive tubular target or a small diameter deep hole gun drilled in the cylinder rod for operation rather than needing a permanent magnet ring or some other type of special target. Features of the MR series linear position sensor include:
• Measurement ranges from 1 to 24 inches (100 to 600 mm)
• Operates to 5000 psi or 10,000 feet (3000 m) depth
• IEC IP-67 aluminum or stainless steel housing
• Contactless operation
• +85°C operation (+105°C option)
• DC voltage or current analog output
• SenSet Field Adjustable Scaling
Because these sensors use a simple coil design rather than “time-of-flight” technology, the MR Series sensors can withstand intense shocks and vibration.
