NEW X-SHAPE CHASSIS FROM SOCAGE

New Type of Chassis for Aerial Platforms Turns Heads in the Industry

Socage Srl made waves at this year’s APEX exhibition in Amsterdam with their new X-shape chassis for aerial working platforms. Socage recently received an international patent for its unique X-shape chassis patented as, Support Frame.

The X-shape chassis has four telescopic outriggers which are longer than standard outriggers (when extended) and provides greater stability during use. This means an increase in outreach for the aerial working platform and a noticeable increase in distance that the basket can now maintain from the stability line.

The X-shape chassis is not only aesthetically pleasing it has a real purpose in terms of stabilization and outrigger storage. The increased stabilization does not come at the expense of the chassis’ weight, in fact the chassis is a more compact and lighter structure and is mounted directly on the truck chassis. This means there is no longer a requirement to use longerons, crossbars or chassis which are typically used for this type of installation.
