B&R Industrie-Elektronik announces its Automation PC 910 is now available in 5 slots, resulting in an addition to the previous models, the 1-slot and 2-slot. Therefore, it is doable to install up to five PCI or PCI Express cards. The device permits total freedom of use just by selecting the correct processor, memory and housing in order to design the adequate PC to meet their requirements for their automation choice.

A quad-core processor, a 1-slot housing, a single-core processor are just a few of the possible options available depending on the users’ needs (intensive control, image processing etc.). The PC is equipped with the latest 3rd generation Intel® Core™ i technology (i3/i5/i7 processors), guaranteeing the highest performance that can be found on the industrial computer market. B&R developed the Automation PC 910 to permit potential customization: many interface (four USB 3.0 ports etc.) are included and so can be specific functions via the insert cards (no external units required). The idea motivating this was to minimise costs and make cabinet space available.
