Position Sensors Accept Serial Interfaces

The new EC-Series of absolute position sensors features a range of serial interface standards

Users can choose from direct analog and start-stop signal outputs, as well as CANopen and synchronous serial interface (SSI) communications. The SSI and CANopen interfaces can handle data rates as high as 400 and 1000 Kbps, respectively. The sensors exhibit less than ±0.005% full scale (FS) deviation in their repeatability and less than ±0.02% FS deviation in their linearity. Temposonics magnetostrictve technology safeguards the sensors against shocks, vibrations, and extreme temperatures. They are functional in 90% relative humidity and are IP30-rated for protection from foreign bodies. They have an operating temperatures ranging from 20 to 70 ˚C.
