XTI Aircraft Company Want to Fly You Directly To Your Destination Without the Airport Commute

XTI Aircraft Company are behind a bid to bring VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) to the business jet sector. The Trifan 600 is six seater concept that takes off like a chopper but flies like a jet. This project isn’t just nice videos and marketing either. The team fronting it includes the former chief executives of Sikorsky and Cessna – the latter company being the leading manufacturer of light and midsize business jets.Like a big brother to the recently unveiled Aerosense drone, the Trifan 600 uses counter rotating fans to lift itself off the ground and then carry it to its destination. It will reportedly have the ability to fly at speeds of 400 mph (644 km/h) which is comparable to similar sized business jets, and far faster than a helicopter. The real advantage is having the ability to take off and land from virtually anywhere, which would save an average of 1.6 hours in commutes to and from the airport.
