Measurement in potentially explosive areas - ATEX approved Mechanical Hand-Tachometer

The latest development from RHEINTACHO UK sees a new version of the popular htm hand-tachometer introduced with ATEX certification.

Mindful of the need to operate tachometers in areas where there is sometimes a risk of explosive atmospheres due to either dust particles or gas, our engineers have carried out modifications to enable this version to be certified for use in ATEX zones 1 and 2 without compromising the capability of the original design.

The htm hand-tachometers have been especially designed to accurately measure RPM and surface speed on a wide range of applications. The htm is a favored measurement device in several industries, including elevator maintenance, mining industry and others. The large, clear and easy-to-read dial as well as the wide reading range with good definition make the hand-tachometers easy to use. With no need for batteries, it has the safety and flexibility to satisfy the most demanding requirements for maintenance and calibration.

The memory button retains last recording until reset. The red 3-position range selector switch provides highest possible resolution for each application providing a multiplier of 1x, 10x or 100x of measured value display. All htm models are rated at an accuracy of ± 0.5% full scale or better.

The htm is mounted in a rubber holster for protection and to give excellent grip and feel.

The hand-tachometers are available in four models and are supplied in a hard plastic carrying case complete with a set of adaptors.
