Sany Port Machinery delivered a new reach stacker with tilting spreader to Ever Freight Logistics Sdn Bhd, Port Klang (West) recently for container transportation. The stacker is expected to promote the port transport capacity through direct unloading.

Port Kelang is the biggest port in Malaysia and also the second largest port of ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations). The Port Kelang West, one part of the Port Kelang, has been expanding in recent years and aims to handle 16.5 million TEUs by 2019. The port boasts every high container handing efficiency with each of its cranes dealing with about 30 to 35 TEUs per hour, higher than the world's average level of 27.

With strict requirement for hoisting equipment, the Port Kelang West has purchased SANY's new type H-shaped reach stacker with new tilting spreader, especially engineered for transportation of containers of flowing materials, such as soybeans, corns, coal mine, iron mine and copper mine.

The new reach stacker features compact structure, light weight, wide angle of tilting, and complete cargo unloading, which replaces the traditional way that uses people and small excavators to unload goods and creates economic benefits for clients.
