Silicone adhesive tapes

Secad has been producing silicone adhesive tapes for many years now.

The tape generally consists of 23-micron transparent PET film with a self-adhesive silicone resin coating, and it is wound on itself.

The resins are particularly suitable for extreme applications in which normal adhesives cannot be used.

They are normally used to join film or paper with low surface tension like release paper or silicone paper.

Since the backing is heat-treated, silicone adhesives are also resistant to heat. They can routinely withstand temperatures of 200-250°C.

Some types of silicone can even resist heat above 300°C.

The PET film we use can be supplied with a silicone backing for customers who require complete anti-adhesion of the entire worked surface.

In addition, we have developed special applications for protection during the phases of painting, galvanic cleaning or chemical washing.

Specific protection can be applied on the tape for use in sheets.

Secad has one standard red tape in the range with an anti-adhesive backing.

Different colours and types of adhesive or backing are, however, available on request.
