SEH Solves Compatibility Problems with Apple's Operating System OS X El Capitan

SEH Develops Solution / Update for "SEH UTN Manager"

Bielefeld, (March 22, 2016)

Apple's update 10.11 for the Mac operating system caused severe problems for several hardware vendors: their devices do not run or do not run properly in the newest version of OS X El Capitan. The very first company to solve the compatibility issue is SEH Computertechnik GmbH with their "SEH UTN Manager".

"Apple surprised the whole industry with their update to OS X El Capitan," states Joachim Sturmhoefel, Managing Director of SEH Computertechnik GmbH. Technical details: Apple made changes to the USB stack in the OS X Yosemite successor that was released in September, 2015. Consequently, client software which manages access to USB devices on Mac operating systems stopped working or did not work properly anymore.

"With hard work, we found a solution to this specific problem," says Sturmhoefel. The software tool "SEH UTN Manager", which manages the access to USB devices, has received an update. With it all dongle and USB device servers by SEH (myUTN-80 Dongleserver, myUTN-800 Dongleserver, myUTN-50a USB Deviceserver, myUTN-55 USB Deviceserver for WLAN, myUTN-250 USB Deviceserver) are fully functional.

The SEH UTN Manager shows the availability of all dongle and USB device servers including connected USB devices that exist in the network and establishes a connection between the client and the USB port to which the USB device is connected. The software is installed on all clients that are meant to access a USB device in the network.
