TÜV NANDE Issued the First Functional Safety Certification to INVT

INVT Inverter Reached the Highest Safety Level.

TÜV SÜD, the world's leading third-party testing and certification institution, has issued its first functional safety certificate to Shenzhen INVT Electric Co., Ltd.

Mr. Robert Puto, vice president of TÜV SÜD in China, and Mr. Dong Ruiyong, technical director of INVT, attended the ceremony. Goodrive20 series 4KW inverterhas reached security level of SIL2 PLd CAT.3, and the models above 4kW reached higher SIL3 PLe CAT.3 security level.

In recent years, with the increase in the complexity of electrical, electronic and programming electronic systems and the increase in potential risks, more and more industrial accidents have been caused by the failure of the control equipment itself and it also caused unintended serious harm. As a result, governments, users and manufacturers are increasingly concerned about functional security requirements. Automation industries like industrial machinery industry, energy industry proposed functional safety requirements on inverter, requiring the inverter to a certain SIL level. INVT obtained SIL3 functional safety certificate means that the inverter reached the highest safety level. That is contribute to win customers in the inverter industry.

TÜV SÜD's local experts worked with INVT R & D, certification team and testers to complete the SIL2 / SIL3 inverter development, functional safety, electrical safety, EMC evaluation and testing within 6 months and it successfully obtained a functional safety certificate issued by TÜV SÜD German headquarter. In the certification process, the INVT R & D and certification staff, under the guidance of TÜV SÜD experts, not only have more understanding to IEC 61800/ISO 13849/IEC 62061/IEC 61508 and other functional safety standards, but also improve the technical level of themselves.
