Drum tipper with power-rotation: control positions
Each drum tipper can be fitted with powered drum rotation, the controls can be fitted in two locations: control panel (rear) or head assembly (front).
For customers who handle large quantities of drums per day the power rotation feature is beneficial. The power function on the STS drum tippers can speed up any dispensing process by reducing the time needed to tip drums.
In situations where equipment is used to empty drums on a mezzanine desk or from a work platform with a drum tipper lifting from below head mounted controls provide operators with precise control over the contents in their drum. Drums can be tipped without the risk of spilling due to operators using the powered head controls.
Electric models
The electric drum tippers have an electric hydraulic rotation powered by an electric motor. Operators simply turn a wig-wag throttle to turn the drum forwards to dispense their material and turn it back to place the drum back into the horizontal. This is ideal for time critical operations or for our telescopic models where manual operation cannot be achieved.
Pneumatic-hydraulic models
For our pneumatic-hydraulic lift and pneumatic-hydraulic rotation drums are rotated using a hydraulic motor through a worm-wheel gearbox. We use push buttons on the back panel or levers to controls the forward tip, when the lever is pulled the drum tips back; in the neutral all functions stop.
