Temperature and humidity: an optimal balance

TR-7 wf/nw series thermo recorders ensure easy control of climatic conditions inside all sorts of buildings

Whether it’s a museum, a hospital, an office building or a factory: accurate and sensitive monitoring is needed to achieve consistent temperature and humidity levels at all times. T&D Corporation, Japanese market leader for wireless data logging, develops system solutions that are adaptable to diverse conditions and can be flexibly applied throughout all types of buildings. Its TR-7 series includes models for LAN and WLAN connection and offers different devices to cover a broad range of measurement tasks. Designed for cloud computing and easily accessible by mobile devices, users can monitor and store data, change settings and receive alert warnings via T&D’s cloud, the WebStorage Service.

The TR-7 series consists of eight models, TR-71/-72/72-S/75wf for WLAN and TR-71/-72/-72-S/-75nw for LAN connection. The lightweight, easy to fix devices cover a variety of measurement ranges. The TR-71 features two channels for temperature management, the TR-72 combines two channels for temperature and humidity, and the TR-75 models are configured for thermocouples (K, J, T, E, S, R). Collected data is forwarded at arbitrary intervals to the T&D WebStorage Service. To facilitate monitoring of large areas, each logger can be linked with up to three different access points to guarantee the best possible connections. Should readings deviate from defined settings, alert warnings are released. If there is no access to the internet or if cloud services are not an option for the user, the free T & D Data Server software enables operation from a computer without the need for the cloud. All devices have a USB port for direct connection to a PC. Powered by two AA batteries, the loggers have a running time of up to 18 months. Alternatively, an AC adapter or, in the case of the TR-7nw, PoE can be used.

Their high precision and wide-range measurement facilities combined with their flexibility make the TR-7 series data loggers ideal for monitoring industrial surroundings as well as large areas or difficult to access locations. They are also ideal for use in everyday appliances like freezers and refrigerators.
