Power I: the Motion Controller born for the new Smart machines

Smart machines

This powerful PAC (Programmable Automation Controller) of the Power family has been designed to cover a wide range of applications in the field of Smart Factories being able to control machines of medium complexity with up to 12 interpolated axes, and to perform complex data processing of the informations collected in the field, becoming thus an active component of the so-called edge computing process.

Moreover, thanks to the OPC UA embedded libraries it is equipped with, it allows to realize the integration of the machine in a Smart ecosystem, being able to exchange data both horizontally, from machine to machine, and vertical, ie from the machine to the field and from machine to the control systems of a higher level, in a safe way and in compliance with the reference standard provided by the Industry 4.0 platform.

Apart from the traditional interfaces for managing 4 axes via +/- 10V or Step / Direction with feedback from incremental encoders, Power I also supports the EtherCAT management of the drives according to the CoE (CANopen over EtherCAT), FoE profiles (File over EtherCAT) and EoE (Ethernet over EtherCAT).

The controller is equipped with 32 digital I/Os + 13 analog I/Os with 14 bit resolution that can be expanded and/or remoted via the CANopen and/or EtherCAT field buses.

Since its equipment also includes an integrated graphic controller for 10", 15" or 18.5" touch screen LCD, some serial ports, 2 USB ports, 2 Ethernet ports and an optional Wi-Fi port, this controller can be used also to do HMI interfaces particularly practical, efficient and functional.
