VERLINDE updates its range of TIRLIFT electric powered winches with numerous new functionalities and options

By combining the new available options with wide ranges of loads and speeds together with a version with single phase power supply, VERLINDE, has doubled its powered winches offering with its new TIRLIFT 2 family.

Verlinde's now widened range of multi-purpose, TIRLIFT 2 powered winches, is ideal for a multiplicity of

applications. These winches are designed for pulling or lifting loads of from 125 kg to 1,500 kg (duty class to

F.E.M. standards 1Am, 1Bm, 2m) compared with 125kg to 990kg of previous models. They meet the

standards of directive EC 2006/42/EC relative to the safety of machines. What is more, their heavy duty

design guarantees long service life and limited maintenance.

The range is particularly enhanced by a gear box with a gear system incorporating 3 sets of planet wheels

and rectified and hardened precision-cut helical teeth for almost noise-free operation and lubricated for life

(semi-fluid grease). Impermeability is ensured by O-rings and a lip seal at the shaft end. This new range,

also available with variable speed drive, offers improved flexibility, precision and safety for users.

TIRLIFT 2 powered winches that include some fifteen new models with long drum and short drum type

single-phase and three-phase motors propose as standard a range of hoist brake motors (protection class F)

and an electromagnetic brake with automatic slack adjuster. The three different types of electric powered

equipment, A (without switchgear), B (electrical switchgear and winch control) and C (electric switchgear and

remote control), protection rating IP55 for electrical components, and a Start/Stop contactor and 48V low

voltage transformer for the B and C models.

The winches are fitted with a frame of modular and open-ended design, permitting for instance multiple cable

exit directions from the drum.

Numerous options are available that significantly enhance application possibilities. Options include a

tropicalized motor, a thermal protection system and a site bogie truck, different voltages on request, together

with additional wire rope lengths for the control pendant or the controller offset to an additional 1 meter

(standard 3m + 1m) or even a gear limit switch 4-step to IP66. A remote control with transmitter and receiver

and an additional transmitter (hauling and lifting) are available. Lastly, the drum can be right-hand or

left-hand threaded as required.
