Campari Argentina chooses the ATEX-certified press filters by VLS Technologies

VLS Technologies for Campari Argentina

Campari Argentina newly rely on VLS Technologies and acquires an ATEX press filter LFA 500×500 with 50 plates that flanks a similar one provided years ago to produce the iconic Campari Rosso. The filter has the ATEX Certification since it is used in an area with risk of explosions, than VLS Technologies performed a bespoke design for the motorization and electrical components, included the control panel.

LFA-500×500 press filter

Press filters of LFA series are monobloc units designed for the filtration of liquids with a high content in floating solids. These filters are provided with filtering panels mounted on chamber plates through which the product is freed from solid particles. The press filter is constituted by a glazed iron frame (that can be wholly coated with AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel), connected plates and polypropylene sheets, manual latch and feeding pump with stainless steel expansion vase and control mechanisms. The range includes the following sizes: 400×400, 500×500, 630×630, 800×800, 1000×1000 and 1200×1200 but on request VLS Technologies can realize press filter in different sizes, since each of our solutions is expressly designed on the basis of the clients’ specific needs.

ATEX certification

ATEX derives its name from the French “ATmosphères EXplosibles” consists of two EU directives describing what equipment and work environment is allowed in an environment with an explosive atmosphere. The 2014/34/UE directive is mandatory for manufacturers of instruments destined to areas with explosive environments defined as a mixture of dangerous substances with air, under atmospheric conditions, in the form of gases, vapours, mist or dust in which, after ignition has occurred, combustion spreads to the entire unburned mixture. Its consequence is the need of ATEX Certification for all those instruments.
