Webtec celebrates 50 years of Innovation

In marking this important point in Webtec''s history the company invited all of its employees and families, including those based overseas to a ride on the historic Tornado steam train en route to a Garden party at Holmewood Hall, near Peterborough where they enjoyed a wide range of fun and competitive activities, a BBQ and live music.

Martin Cuthbert, Managing Director of Webtec and son of the founder Roy Cuthbert said, “Today is really a ‘Golden'' landmark for Webtec as we celebrate 50 years since the company was founded, thanks especially to our loyal customers around the world and our dedicated and long-serving employees who have made this possible”.

Mr Cuthbert continued, “My father, Roy Cuthbert, passionately believed in British engineering and the importance of manufacturing in Britain and since the 60''s we have invested heavily in the development of a greatly diversified product portfolio, the latest in “lean” manufacturing technology and a total dedication to quality and customer support. We now have the ability to bring quality products to market very quickly allowing us to service all of our customers around the world in a greatly reduced timeframe.”

Based in St, Ives, Cambridgeshire, the recently refurbished factory which was has been Webtec''s headquarters since 1998 houses all of its engineering, manufacturing, assembly, test and sales support functions for customers world-wide, in conjunction with sales offices in the USA, France, Germany and China.
