CCTV System for China's Largest Smart Copper Plant

Yangxin Hongsheng Copper is China’s largest copper plant in construction, it’s also one of the six largest copper plants in the world.

In 2018, CNMC(China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd.) invested 8.7 billion yuan in this project. With the world's most advanced smelting process introduced, Yangxin Hongsheng Copper Plant was expected to produce 400,000 tons of the highest purity cathode copper every year to satisfy the demands of 5G new infrastructure and the production of household appliances.

As a smart copper plant, Yangxin Hongsheng Copper Plant has a centralized control center of more than 1000 square meters and ensures highly reliable data transmission for the 17 intelligent management units. Based on the network platform, the 15 sets of intelligent assembly system achieve highly automatic production. With the application of management system and assembly system, the cooper plant realizes cost decreasing and efficiency increasing.

3onedata provides layer 3 managed switch and PoE switch for the CCTV system that covers video surveillance system, alarm system, broadcasting system, wired intercom system, access control system, attendance system, etc., it’s a key part of the overall network for the plant. The 10Gigabit switches ICS5428 are installed in the centralized control center and four switching rooms, the PoE switches IES6220 are used to provide both data connection and electric power to terminal equipment. This solution makes it easy for administrators to control and manage the network.
