Generator circuit-breaker HVR-63 up to 63 kA

The HVR-63 GCB is a generator circuit-breaker manufactured by ABB. It is ideal for retrofitting or replacing power plants with unit power of up to 180 MW. It features an open design and compact construction which makes it suitable for open and cubicle installation, as well as for short-circuit rating reaching up to 63 kA. It also has an integrated direct contact erosion indicator which brings a good visualization of the remaining length of the arcing contact for a high degree of safety and reliability.

The HVR-63 GCB is offered as HVR-63Xs which features a rated continuous current of 6300 A. It is also available as HVR-63S with currents of up to 8000 A.
