Dual output, encapsulated RIA12 Railway converters offer 3.5Vn surge withstand capacity

DC-DC converter targets railway applications

ABSOPULSE Electronics has recently released the RWR 252-P400 series of fully encapsulated, dual output, railway quality dc-dc converters. The units meet the requirements of EN50155 for electronic equipment used on rolling stock. They offer input surge withstand capability of 3.5Vn for 20 msec., thereby meeting the requirements for RIA12, the general specification for the protection of traction and rolling stock equipment from transients and surges in DC control systems. Wide EN50155 input ranges include 14.4 - 34Vdc, 22 - 51Vdc, 29 - 67Vdc, 43 - 101Vdc, 58 - 135Vdc or 66 - 154Vdc. Outputs V1 and V2 each provide 12V, 24V, 36V, 48V or 125Vdc. Custom input and output voltages are available on request.
