ALMEMO® Measurement Technology preserves History

Reliable and flexible measurement technology is essential for addressing the challenges involved in the restoration and repair of historic architecture.

The timeless charm of historic architecture has captivated people for centuries. But even the sturdiest structures are not built to last forever, and after some time, restoration becomes necessary. The key is to strike a balance between the building’s original character and a professional, modern restoration. Reliable and flexible measurement technology is essential for meeting these challenges.
With Ahlborn’s ALMEMO® system, key parameters such as temperature, humidity, heat flux, O₂ and CO₂ levels in the air, microclimate at boundary layers, crack and joint movements, weather data, and much more can be recorded and analyzed. Long-term recording of visitor counts, heating cycles, or door opening times is also possible. Heating and ventilation systems can be controlled via ALMEMO® to stabilize the indoor climate. Other areas of application include, for example, testing insulation systems, repairing moisture damage, fire safety tests, conservation treatments, etc. Only a single measuring device is required for all sensors and applications. By networking the devices with one another, measurement points can be flexibly distributed across different rooms.
The WinControl software was developed for data acquisition and measurement data processing. The acquired measurement values can be displayed, processed mathematically, saved, printed, and exported to other programs for further processing.
