Heat flux sensors in a flexible design
Whether for building management, monitoring of heating furnaces or for scientific purposes - heat flux measurement is indispensable in many areas of analysis.
With a single ALMEMO® data logger the heat flux can be measured simultaneously with many other measured variables. The integration into an existing measurement setup also works smoothly with the ALMEMO® system.
In addition to our own products, we recommend the heat flux sensors from Hukseflux e.g. from the FHF05 series. These offer flexibility, robustness and reliability. Thanks to their thin and flexible foil design, FHF05 series heat flux sensors can be easily mounted on curved surfaces such as pipes using basic adhesives. A connection block for strain relief ensures stability and robustness. This encapsulated cover protects against moisture (protection class IP67). We supply your Hukseflux heat flux sensors including an intelligent ALMEMO® connector.
Inside the heat flux sensor is a thermopile that measures the temperature difference across the entire foil. A type T thermocouple is also integrated for temperature measurement. The thermopile and thermocouple are both passive sensors and therefore require no power.
Thermal spreaders reduce the dependence on thermal conductivity - the sensitivity of the sensor is completely independent of the environment. The heat flux sensors have a fast response time and can be easily connected to every ALMEMO® data logger.
