Airfal donates 2% of its annual profits to Atades Huesca. This year the money will go to the”Art and socialisation” project through which users will carry out an experience on artistic creation in collaboration with different Aragonese educational centres. This donation is part of Airfal’s Corporate Social Responsibility Programme.

Airfal International donates one more year 2% of its profits to Atades Huesca, a non-profit organization that works with people with intellectual disabilities. On this occasion, the money will be used for the implementation of the”Art and socialization” project, which seeks to continue the work of the Art Workshop that already exists at the Manuel Artero Center in Huesca.

As Sandra Belarre, Project and Social Responsibility Technician at Atades Huesca, explains,”The Art Workshop was born in 2012 by the artist Eduardo Cajal due to the need to offer a new occupational therapy to people with intellectual disabilities, through a workshop on artistic creation and personal development

According to the experts, art is a vehicle of expression that allows the development of imagination, promotes autonomy and promotes integration. In addition, it promotes skills, such as spatial processing, as well as attention, planning and sequencing. That is why it is so beneficial for people with intellectual disabilities.

The project that was born this year with the collaboration of Airfal, Arte y Socialización, consists of carrying out an experience on artistic creation in collaboration with primary schools in the province of Huesca and Zaragoza. As Belarre explains, “it is made up of two days of work, with the main objective of discovering oneself as an artist through painting and promoting socialization among the participants”

During the first session, the students will go to the Manuel Artero Centre in Atades Huesca where they will visit the facilities, meet the users and carry out the first day of creation with them. Each participant will receive a canvas, as well as a robe and all the necessary materials to develop their artistic abilities. The second session takes place in the Educational Center, and it is the members of the occupational art workshop who visit the school and enjoy a scheduled work session with the children.

At the end of the project, Atades Huesca plans to hold an exhibition in the capital of Huesca to show the works made by all the participants. At the association they are very excited about this project, as it will allow not only to disseminate the work done by users and give them recognition, but also promotes interaction with other social agents and, therefore, the integration of artists.

Airfal continues with its Social Responsibility Plan

Airfal International has been donating its 2nd annual profit to Atades Huesca for 8 consecutive years, an activity within the framework of the company’s Social Responsibility Plan. In addition, it collaborates with the entity through an occupational workshop in the Manuel Artero Centre itself, where users assemble some models of high rotation luminaires.

Almost since the opening of Airfal more than 30 years ago, the company has been committed to the insertion of this group with the creation of occupational workshops in different Aragonese foundations in which the company’s lighting fixtures are mounted, as well as the establishment of an Occupational Workshop and a Work Enclave in its own facilities.

Airfal also seeks Corporate Social Responsibility with its employees, and carries out different plans to promote the reconciliation of the work and professional life of its employees. Therefore, from 1 June to 30 September, Airfal will change its timetable and set a continuous working day from 8 am to 3 pm.
