EcoFixx - economical and safe machine installation
In a hard competition with ever shorter cycle times, higher cutting performance and profitability, efficient and low-cost machine installation is gaining more and more in significance. Cycle times and cutting speeds improve from one machine generation to the next. To save costs, the number of supporting points of a machine is reduced, which requires ideal placement. Swift installation and highest accuracy are a must. A modern design that is agreed with the overall machine concept is also taken for granted. These requirements make highest demands on the machine installation.
AirLoc Schrepfer AG responded to these challenges and have launched the new EcoFixx machine foot at the AMB 2014 in Stuttgart. EcoFixx stands for 60 years of experience in research, development and production of Wedgmounts®, and fulfils all requirements regarding precision, speed, safety, and - last, but not least - high profitability.
EcoFixx was developed with the latest 3-D CAD infrastructure, tested with precise measuring equipment in the test laboratory, and is produced in the famous Swiss quality in-house on state-of-the-art machines. Thanks to the many years of experience in manufacturing machine shoes, the production costs were optimised in such a manner that they provided an economic solution.
Various design variants give the design engineer the greatest leeway possible in designing the machine bed. Whether you need a Wedgmount® that is merely placed underneath, and AirLoc antiskid plates that ensure a safe connection between floor and machine, or whether you want to use an equalizing dome for a fixed connection between Wedgmount® and machine - EcoFixx is always the right choice.
The sturdy design with a centred guiding and fastening sleeve ensures an exact guidance during the leveling process. Compared with conventional Wedgmounts®, you need much less effort for leveling. A housing protects the mechanical leveling system and the contact surfaces of the adjusting wedges.
