Fuel cell and electrolyser test stands: one controller, many gases

One instrument per position and gas changes within the same test session.

A builder of fuel cell and electrolyser test stands needed reliable flow data from single-cell tests up to full stack validation, on hydrogen, oxygen, air, helium and custom blends. Instead of one instrument per gas, Alicat mass flow controllers and meters switch gas at the press of a button with Gas Select and COMPOSER, and keep their accuracy on the new gas. A turndown of up to 10,000:1 keeps readings accurate when a gas change shifts the flow rate, and versions for hazardous areas (ATEX) are available where hydrogen throughput calls for them. The result: one instrument per position, gas changes within the same test session, and data the team can trust.
