AMETEK STC Unveils the RTCt Series

AMETEK STC Unveils the RTCt Series – Advancing Temperature Calibration Technology

Introducing RTCt-156, RTCt-157, and RTCt-168: High-Precision Calibration Solutions

Copenhagen, Denmark – AMETEK STC announces the launch of the RTCt Series, which includes the RTCt-156, RTCt-157, and RTCt-168 temperature calibrators. These models introduce advancements in measurement accuracy, operational efficiency, and automation, addressing the requirements of industries with stringent calibration standards. The "t" in RTCt stands for Touch, emphasizing the series’ advanced touchscreen interface, which enhances usability and workflow efficiency. The RTCt Series incorporates patent-pending features, an enhanced touchscreen interface, and dual-sensor technology to optimize calibration workflows.

Touchscreen User Interface: Enhancing Usability and Efficiency

The RTCt Series features a high-resolution, full-color touchscreen interface, designed to replace conventional button-based navigation. This patent-pending user interface enables streamlined operation, reducing setup time and potential errors. The graphical display allows users to configure calibration settings efficiently, monitor real-time data trends, and navigate functions with improved accessibility.

One of the key innovations in the UI is the adjustable graphing function, which allows users to customize the data visualization according to their specific calibration requirements. This feature provides real-time graphical analysis of temperature stability, trends, and deviations, offering immediate insights that improve decision-making during calibration procedures.

“The RTCt Series introduces an optimized interface that enhances operator efficiency,” said Haakon, Director Engineering at AMETEK STC. “The integration of touchscreen technology and adjustable graphing minimizes workflow complexity while maintaining the precision required for high-level calibration applications.”

Dual-Sensor Technology: Improving Accuracy and Process Control

A key feature of the RTCt-156, RTCt-157, and RTCt-168 models is dual-sensor capability, allowing users to calibrate two sensors simultaneously. This feature enhances efficiency by enabling side-by-side calibration without the need for multiple test cycles, significantly reducing overall calibration time.

The dual-sensor functionality supports:

Simultaneous calibration of two sensors to improve throughput and operational efficiency.

Higher measurement precision by using an external reference sensor alongside the internal sensor.

Enhanced process reliability with real-time monitoring of both sensors to maintain traceability and consistency.

“The ability to calibrate two sensors at the same time is a major efficiency improvement,” said Poul, Product Manager at AMETEK STC. “This feature allows calibration professionals to streamline their workflow while maintaining the highest levels of accuracy.”

Dynamic Load Compensation (DLC) Icon: Real-Time Performance Feedback

Another patent-pending innovation in the RTCt Series is the Dynamic Load Compensation (DLC) icon, which provides real-time feedback on the system’s performance. This feature continuously analyzes load conditions and automatically adjusts the heating and cooling process to ensure optimal stability. The DLC icon allows users to monitor system efficiency and respond proactively to environmental or operational changes, reducing uncertainty and improving consistency.

“The introduction of the DLC icon gives users an instant indication of system stability and efficiency,” explains Haakon. “This level of real-time insight ensures that calibrations are performed under optimal conditions, improving the overall accuracy of the process.”

Advanced Connectivity and Automation: Enhancing Data Integration

The RTCt Series is built with advanced connectivity features to seamlessly integrate with calibration management systems, ensuring automated data collection and regulatory compliance. With multiple connectivity options, users can streamline their calibration workflows and improve traceability.

Key connectivity features include:

Wi-Fi connectivity via a USB dongle, enabling remote access from anywhere and easy data sharing. If Wi-Fi is not required for certain applications, the USB dongle can simply be removed.

Graphical displays accessible on any mobile device, including iOS and Android, allowing real-time monitoring and control.

Large-screen and control-room compatibility, enabling remote visualization of calibration processes on bigger displays for improved oversight.

Integration with calibration management software to enable automated documentation and compliance tracking.

Remote monitoring and control capabilities to optimize workflow efficiency.

Advancing Calibration Standards

The RTCt-156, RTCt-157, and RTCt-168 establish a new performance standard for temperature calibration. With a combination of intuitive operation, high accuracy, and automation capabilities, these models support industries such as pharmaceuticals, aerospace, energy, and manufacturing in achieving reliable calibration results.

AMETEK STC remains committed to developing solutions that address the evolving needs of calibration professionals, offering technology that enhances accuracy, efficiency, and long-term measurement reliability.
