How To Choose Filament For Brush Roller

The material of filament is selected based on the use environment and use effect of the production line to achieve the purpose of optimal use of brush rollers; the material of filament is roughly divided into: A, nylon Bilon brush wire; B, abrasive brush wire (silicon carbide Sic, alumina Ao), and domestic or imported brands (Hotani, DuPont, Hahl, Toray) can be selected;

A, Nylon material

The choice must be made in consideration of the use purpose and environment. For instance, when strong cleaning (abrading) is required, hard nylon is used to grind brush wires; on the contrary, soft nylon is used for fine cleaning. Apart from that, when there are pattern requirements such as acid resistance and heat resistance, nylon varieties that can withstand harsh use environments are used, and the hardness and wear resistance of the brush wires are selected and determined based on the nylon base material (PA6, -PA66, 610, 1010, PA612), the wire diameter (0.05mm-1.02mm) of the brush wires and the mesh number of silicon carbide (# 60 〜 # 1000);

The specific mesh numbers include (#60.#80.#120.#180.#240.#320.500.#1000)

0.46, 0.56, 0.76, 0.89, 1.02, 1.14, 1.27, 1.52, 1.78

B, Abrasive material

When selecting abrasive brush wires, the impact on the object to be abraded must be fully considered to select different mesh number of grit of #60〜#1000 and wire diameter of 0.46mm〜1.78mm to achieve the best use effect. The lower the mesh number, the higher the efficiency of the object to be abraded, the rougher, and vice versa. Coarse wire diameter is suitable for strong cleaning (abrading); conversely, fine wire diameter is suitable for fine cleaning.

Brush wire is divided into:

Convey the two functions of pressing down (A) and abrading (B) "through contact with the object to be abraded to the front end. By optimizing the two functions, the expected cleaning effect is achieved, and the best effect is achieved by pressing down 2-5 mm.
