Nylon cylindrical roller brush is commonly used for aluminum sheet cleaning, degreasing, polishing and other processes. There are PA6, PA66, PA610 and PA612 for making roller brush for rolling mills.

But nylon material has a critical defect, which is high water absorption. When it works in water, this material will be soft and leads to bad result of degreasing. Meanwhile, nylon is not resistant to strong alkali. That will largely reduce its service life. For these reasons, by adding nano-montmorillonite into PA66, a new material is invented, called DT-Bellon. This new material is with low water absorption and high alkali resistance. After testing, the polishing performance is twice better than PA66, and service life is triple.

Abrasive filament is also a good choice for producing brushes for aluminum rolling mill.
