ASK Introduces a New Generation IP65 Rotary Knob Display for Outdoor HMI Applications

As industrial equipment continues to move into increasingly demanding outdoor environments, traditional rotary encoder solutions often face challenges related to waterproofing, UV exposure, and long-term reliability.

To address these challenges, ASK has developed a new generation IP65-rated Rotary Knob Switch with Integrated Display, combining intuitive rotary control, visual feedback, and robust environmental protection in a compact design.

Unlike conventional encoder-based rotary switches, the new design utilizes an innovative mechanical structure to deliver precise encoder-like tactile feedback while maintaining reliable waterproof performance. This approach helps eliminate common sealing challenges associated with traditional encoder shafts, making the product well suited for outdoor installations.

The integrated display offers up to 800 nits brightness, ensuring excellent readability under direct sunlight. Anti-UV materials are incorporated into the housing design to minimize discoloration and material degradation caused by prolonged exposure to outdoor conditions.

Designed for industrial reliability, the device operates within a wide temperature range of -20°C to +70°C, providing stable performance across diverse climates and operating environments.
