AMobile Wins Red Dot Award: Product Design 2017

Announcing the Award-Winning Mobile Inspection Assistant at Computex Taipei

AMobile Intelligent Corp., a joint venture by MediaTek and Arbor Technology, an expert in mobile IoT devices, has been recognized for its excellent design and innovation in the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2017. The awarded product is the Mobile Inspection Assistant G60, the world's first handheld device integrated with a thermal imager, push-to-talk radio, smartphone, and professional camera for industrial inspections. It will be showcased at Computex 2017 in Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center (Hall 1, K0828) from May 30th to June 3rd.

The winning AMobile G60 was selected among over 5,500 entries from 54 countries which were assessed individually by an independent and international jury of experts. The entry products were considered for the award according to a wide range of criteria, including the degree of innovation, functionality, durability, ergonomics, symbolic and emotional content, and ecological compatibility.

According to market researcher Radiant Insights, the global thermal imaging market is expected to reach 6,499.5 million US dollars by 2020, and thermal imaging technology utilized in mobile phone and high-resolution cameras is projected to be a significant opportunity for industries.

The G60 is the world’s first Mobile Inspection Assistant with a ruggedized, compact, and lightweight design for field workers. It integrates a professional camera, thermal sensors, and radio into a 4G industrial hand-held computer. Also, its optional accessories include a high-speed and long-range barcode scanner, a UHF reader, and a laser distance meter for expanded data collectivity and analytics functionality.
