Ascon Tecnologic sends the controllers on "Cloud"

Ascon Tecnologic, a leading italian company manufacturing process controllers since 1969, is now introducing solutions that allows controllers to be monitored and set through the web.

This ambitious challenge has the name of “AT on Cloud”. It takes advantage of the new technology development on the web (Saas, Software as a Service) and the dramatic diffusion of the remote connectivity.

Let’s try to answer to a simple question: what are the new needs of an OEM manufacturer or a process plant manager?

Surely, to have a remote control of the critical components of the machine or plant, to make possible the remote monitoring of the actual values of his plant, to look at the behaviour of the key parameters,to be warned in real time if some alarms occours and to be able to remotely change some functional parameters in order to adjust the control of the loops.

Well, what can be used to do all this?

Everybody today is connected on the Cloud, with a smartphone, a notebook or a tablet.

What about using what all the people already have instead of downloading and install a new software?

Ascon Tecnologic gives a complete answer to this questions developing the AT on Cloud platform.

It consists of a web site where all the controllers are linked through an existing internet connection or a 3G or 4G.

Thanks to the fact the all AT controllers have a communication port, they could be connected to a small local AT_LogGate device that allows to log data locally (in order to be viewed and exported with a USB key) and make a connection to the AT on Cloud server on the Cloud. The installation is simple and quick.

In this way a user can be connect remotely to the single plant or machine choosing it on a map page through the AT portal and exchange data directly with the installed controllers.

The user can also browse through the hystorical data, check the list of alarms, change the SP values of the PIDs involved and view all the changes that has been done through the web.

The system can manage different level of access with different privileges and the web page can be customized as an option with a specific synopthic diagram representing the monitored plant or machine.
