Situation:

On so-called flow-pack packaging machines, the goods to be packaged are wrapped in plastic film and the open ends are sealed with a welding gun. In order to ensure that the packaging process runs smoothly, it is essential that the goods are reliably conveyed and held in place.

Solution:

Mink strip brushes for conveying and holding down goods have been successfully used in these machines for several years. Previously, the brushes had to be mounted to the conveyor chain using screws. In the current generation of machines, newly developed Mink strip brushes are used. By means of a dovetail guide on the underside of the brush body, these brushes can be attached quickly and positively to a toothed belt. By optimising the conveyor system, the customer was able to replace mechanical components with toothed belts. This significantly reduces manufacturing costs and wear on the mechanical components.
